Shrek the Musical
April 17-19, 2026
Shrek the Musical tells the story of Shrek, a grumpy but good-hearted ogre who values his quiet, solitary life in his swamp. When a group of fairy-tale characters are suddenly banished there by the ambitious Lord Farquaad, Shrek sets off to demand his home back—joined by an overly enthusiastic Donkey.
Farquaad strikes a deal with Shrek: if he rescues Princess Fiona, who is trapped in a tower guarded by a fearsome dragon, Shrek’s swamp will be restored. As Shrek and Donkey embark on their journey and escort Fiona back to Duloc, unexpected friendships form, secrets begin to surface, and Shrek is forced to confront feelings he has long tried to avoid.
Blending humor, heart, and fairy-tale twists, Shrek the Musical explores themes of belonging, identity, and the courage it takes to let others see you for who you really are. We hope to see you there to see how the journey ends!

Scholarship Donations
The music and theater departments of Port Jervis High School annually give out scholarships to graduating seniors. These funds are raised by the clubs themselves through performances, bake sales, and donations. Your donations are very appreciated.
